Red Fox (Vulpes vulpes) - coil stamp

Single from roll of 50. This coil stamp can be distinguished from the other varieties in that:

1. It has 9 peaks in the perfs along the top edge
2. It is perforated exactly 8.5

S.. Read more »ometime this variety is called "valley at upper left" which refers to the fact that the die that cut the perfs, cuts a valley in the upper left before a peak. But looking for that valley is not too helpful to distinguishing the stamp, because if the die was shifted far to the left it the first perf is will be a peak, even though the stamp is still just this standard coil variety. The die shifts to the left and right are not listed as separate varieties.
