The Medal has the form of a circle with diameter of 33 mm. It is made of light-yellow metal.
The averse features stylized effigy of a woman with a laurel leaf in her hands; to the left is a stylized wheatear, and to the right - part of a gearwheel. The reverse bears a four-lined concave inscription, signifying: "25 ГОДИНИ НАРОДНА ВЛАСТ". Underlying is a small five-pointed star, on both sides are laurel leaves.
The medal is worn on a pentagon bearer dressed in red ribbon bordered in white on the left side.
The project was designed by a team led by Prof. Dechko Uzunov. The Medal was mint at the State Mint, Sofia.
The Medal was cancelled in 1991.
