Coat of Arms on a Shield, Groszy Surcharge

Surcharge on Mi:PL P117.
From November 6, 1950, the regulations required the use of stamps with denominations in new zlotys but the new stamps were not prepared on time.
Therefore it was decid.. Read more »ed that stamps would be overprinted with the words "gr", "groszy" or "grosze".
The overprints were made by hand in various colours.
