Type I: The lines of the corner triangles are sharp and clear
According to Philatelica Hungarica, two variations of the kr in circle watermark exist, type 1 with the k of kr 13mm tall and r 8mm t.. Read more »all with the top diagonal leg of k longer than the bottom, and type 2 with the k of kr 15mm tall and r 9mm tall and the diagonal legs of the k the same length. Stamps with clear cancellations dated 1888 or later are generally type 2, those with cancellations dated before 1887 must be type 1, and those dated 1887 can be of either type.
